I Don't Miss You

"Don't Miss You At All" -- The song on my mind today!

As I sit and watch the snow
Fallin' down
I don't miss you at all
I hear children playin' laughin' so loud
I don't think of your smile

So if you never come to me
You'll stay a distant memory
Out my window I see lights going dark
Your dark eyes don't haunt me

And then I wonder who I am
Without the warm touch of your hand

And then I wonder who I am
Without the warm touch of your hand
As I sit and watch the snow
Fallin' down

I don't miss you at all
I don't miss you at all
I don't miss you at all

Sin City

I know a place
Where the lights, light up the lights
Beautiful, magical, and wild
There must be somethin’ in the sun
Hot, Hot, Hot – in the shade
Layin’ underneath the palm trees
No time to take a rest, it is time to party

The Vegas girls are going out again
Bathtubs, Showers one is not enough
The more the better in penthouse style
Lip stick, Hair, Curly, Straight,
and of course piggy tails

That is the way we roll

Jamming in the clubs all night long
drop your lemons it is time for a lemon drop
Shot, Shot, Shot -- Shot, Shot
Shot, Shot, Shot

Feeling good, no feeling great
Feeling the music, feeling the beat

Wear your glasses, 'cause GAGA in the house
Meeting the 21 crew, they don't know what to do
Nerds, idiots, and freaks are more our style
Styling in our heels, and hurting in our feet
Dance, Dance, Dance -- Dance, Dance,
Dance, Dance, Dance
Stop talking, 'cause we just want to dance

My Horse and I

There was a look in her eyes that just gave me that good feeling inside. It was then when I purchased her from Linda Fisher. I have to admit, I wasn't looking for a 3 year old that needed training, I was looking for a 18 year old that was well broke, but there was just something about her eyes that I couldn't say no.

Miss Attitude was her name when I bought her, I didn't like the name at all and I was told I could change it. I gave it sometime to get to know her first before I would come up with a new name. It only took me a week to realize that the name fit her perfect. She was testy, ornery, and stubborn. In the field she would give me a look like, "No, I don't feel like riding today, you can go back home." It did make me laugh a couple times and it was then when I decided to keep the name and make it a little bit shorter and call her "Missy."

I am a wife and a mom to two beautiful girls, a two year old and a 5 year old. Most of my time prior to Missy, I was either working or playing mom. I wanted something that I did for me, just me. It was then when I approached my husband, Derek, and asked him if I could buy a horse. He looked at me and laughed, he thought I was kidding. Then I gave him "the look," and he knew I was serious. Derek doesn't know much, or should I say NOTHING, about horses, but he is a very supportive husband and didn't blink an eye and said, "do it."

So, I bought a horse! I didn't even own a halter, I haven't been on a horse since Middle School (and yes, that was a long time ago). What was I thinking? I remember looking at her after I purchased her, and said out loud, "now what?" I was told that she was under saddle for 30 days. What did that mean? What did I get myself into? But whenever I looked in her eyes my worries went away, I bought a horse, and I love her already. With all the testiness, orneriness, and subbornness aside, she is my horse.

Well, I didn't train her by myself, are you kidding me, I was still trying to remember what side you get on the horse. Sarah and others at the stable really helped me out in figuring even the basics of horsemanship. It wasn't easy, I have to admit there were times I wanted to throw in the towel, and say this just isn't for me, but then Missy would give me those eyes and I knew I couldn't give up. Missy and I will learn this whole horsemanship "thing" together it is our little adventure. I don't consider myself an experienced rider, but I like to ride, and I like to ride Missy.

I think that over time that my testy, ornery, and stubborn horse "Miss Attitude" has grown attached to me too, although I don't think she would admit it. There are days when I come out to the stable and walk into the field and call her name, her head picks up, she does a little neigh and trots over to me. I know that horses can't smile, but I know she was smiling, and asking me where have I been, and that I was late. Missy makes me laugh and takes a lot of my worries away from my everyday life, I am thrilled to enjoy this adventure with her.

Vegas 2010

Vegas again.. so fun! I want to hit rewind and "do it again, and again"

This time I did a "girls only trip" 6 girl 1 room 2 beds. But that doesn't matter, you don't sleep much when you are in Vegas anyways. My last night there we got in the elevator and the person next to us said, "good morning." We laughed, we said, "good night."

I am not a big gambler, in fact I didn't gamble at all the whole time I was there.
We did get a chance to gamble someone else's money, I guess that would be fun, but that is not why I went there, and gambling is not fun for me. (my friend is a little upset, she wanted to gamble someone else's money.. I guess next time I/we should do it)

I can see myself getting older when I visit the dancing clubs. Why is it there isn't a club for 30 and up? Don't get me wrong, I still had a GREAT time dancing around 20 year olds, and who knows I might prefer that. It is nice to know I still have some moves when it comes to dancing. I should live it up now, 'cause in 5-8 years I don't think that I will pass for a 20 something. When I asked, others thought I was 28 years old. (warm fuzzies) I have to say that was the highlight of my trip, I felt like I was in college again.

Anyways, I went there with some of my closest friends. I had a good time on Friday and a GREAT time on Saturday. There was this club with a pool in the middle of it. I was wondering why there was NO ONE swimming. Not to say my friend and I were tempted to do so. It was like walking into a screen saver. I regret not taking any pictures of my time at this club, the "scenery" was beautiful. I would love to live it all over again, in fact it feels like it was a dream. I miss that night already.

The fun thing about Vegas, is that everyone is going there to have a good time. You really don't have to try, you just do. My theme song for the trip was, "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas, you have to listen to it. "do it again.." I wish I could do it again.

You have to recharge your battery every once and a while, and I think that Vegas is my recharger. I will be back.

If only I had the same "scenery" to look at.

Where to put a lead form on your website to get results!

Where to put a lead form on your website to get results!

I have built 300+ mortgage websites. Some of them get posted on GOOGLE as #1 and others you can’t find in the Google mess. I track the amount of leads and where people are clicking on websites so I can be a better designer for my clients. If I get a client to listen to what I am saying it WORKS!

So here it is –

Know why your visitors are coming to your site. This is an art! It takes time to find out why.

Know where your visitors are going once they get to your website. Yes you can do this.

Use google analytics it is FREE http://analytics.google.com. What I have seen is that your most popular links will be – interest rates, calculators, loan programs, refinance and hopefully the apply online – so why not put a lead form on those page? Short and friendly (name, phone, email, zip, comments), no one wants to fill out a full 1003 and most of all GIVE THEM A REASON TO FILL OUT THE FORM. Maybe you have a book that you are giving away? Or I have seen a funny one… a pen (a cool float pen) – give them something … any thing .. be creative.

I have had a customer get 100 leads a week from his one form on his homepage (note: he was advertising his website: radio, TV, print, website banners). I have other customers that are getting 20 leads a week from that same short form just by doing newspaper and radio ads.

Don’t just have a form on your contact page or your prequal page.. put it everywhere and change up what you will give them. In other words but it on your content pages, don’t link in your content to a form… put the form on that page.

So…

1) Analysis your traffic
2) See where your visitors are going
3) Put a form on that page.

So, many people say my website isn’t working.. well then “FIX IT. - SNL”

Picasa

Check out Picasa from Google. It is a great tool to get family photos online fast and easy. I am one of those people that keep on taking pictures of my family, in fact I have too many images (my husband says).

But be warned on Picasa you don't get unlimited space like I hoped. You only get 1GB of space. And of course I didn't know this until I got totally attached to it. So I bought more space, so I have a "back up" of my images and can share online. But will be looking for other spaces to put my images/videos.
